Raja Rani

Raja Rani

Overview

Cine Shore Rating:
3.5 A mix of everything and is sure to strike a chord with the audiences!

Blockbuster Director Shanker’s assistant Atlee’s debut directorial ‘Raja Rani’ tells the story of John (Arya) and Regina (Nayantara) who get married by the traditional arranged marriage plan. They don’t get along well with each other at all until an incident forces each of them to look into the other’s painful past. What unfolds is a touching tale of romance, sentiments, pain and fate.

Arya is good while Nayantara excels. Their chemistry is good but it is Jai who steals the show in a comparatively brief role which however makes the maximum impact. Nazriya is okayish and does well considering her inexperience. Satyaraj is impeccably brilliant while Santhanam does a superb job. Music and BGMs are top notch. Atlee’s direction is brilliant and he is surely here to stay. Visuals and the technical side are perfect. The script is good and though it does slow a bit in the 2nd half, the impact is there which is what matters in the end.
Overall, the film has a mix of everything and is sure to strike a chord with the audiences! Recommended!

Verdict – Sure hit!
