PLOT – Manglish Malayalam Movie Review
Tharakan Malik (Mammootty) is one of influential people in Fort Kochi. There isn’t anything that he can’t do and Malik is given a task to evacuate Mitchelle (Carolyn) from a Resort. From then on, things take a different task. Who is Mitchelle and will Malik help her? That forms the rest of the film.
PERFORMANCE – Manglish Malayalam Movie Review
Mammootty is at his energetic best as Tharakan Malik and after a while we get to see the Mega Star enjoying himself totally in a commercial character. Carolyn, Srindha and Tini Tom were good in their roles. The Mammootty-Tini Tom combo sequences have worked out very well.
STORY – SCREENPLAY – DIRECTION – Manglish Malayalam Movie Review
This is Salam Bappu’s 2nd directorial venture after Red Wine which despite not doing well at the box office received decent reviews. Most people were impressed with Salam’s direction but he seems to be stuck with orthodox style of making which seems a bit outdated at times. Nevertheless, he has managed to package a very routine storyline into a decent entertainer.
TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT – Manglish Malayalam Movie Review
Pradeep’s visuals of Manglish are a huge positive with the cinematography rocking. The music and BGMs by Gopi Sundar are very good too syncing nicely with the moods of the flick. The BGMs help in sustaining the energy of several scenes.
ANALYSIS – Manglish Malayalam Movie Review
Overall, Manglish is a decent entertainer despite having a very familiar storyline. Mammootty is at his energetic best after a long gap and packs a punch as Malik Bhai. The visuals and music/BGM give a lift to the film that can be termed as an average film.
