Manju Warrier‘s comeback has not only struck gold at the box office and among critics but has also made a huge social impact in the Legislative Assembly. The film which has women empowerment as the theme has won the hearts of viewers, especially the female audiences who are coming down in huge numbers to watch the flick. At the box office, the film has already raked in more than 10.5 crores and has become a super-hit.

The topic of the film’s impact became a huge debate in the assembly with a section of the members who had watched the film strongly in favour of improvement in the civil supplies department to help women as they are having to struggle a lot. The debate was started by Varkala MLA but the Civil Supplies Minister Anoop Jacob turned a deaf ear to these suggestions as he said he hadn’t watched the film to make a decision on the same. Too much time was being dedicated to this topic which made speaker G.Karthikeyan to put a stop to the discussions on the same.
