Did 90′s Hit Pair Mohanlal – Manju Join Again in LOL ?

They have just competed at the box office with same day releases but they will be seen together soon. Yes, we are talking about Superstar Mohanlal and actress Manju Warrier. Manju made a comeback after 14 years with her recent release How Old Are You that clashed with Mohanlal’s action thriller Mr.Fraud last weekend at the box office. The new flick under discussion is Laila O Laila that already has Amala Paul as one of the female leads with script by Suresh Nair who has worked on many Bollywood films in the screenplay department. The project is being helmed by Joshy and is expected to be a big budget venture with some heavy action sequences. Manju’s addition to the project hasn’t been confirmed as yet and discussions are progressing at the moment.

LOL has Mohanlal-Amala Paul teaming up with Joshiy after the blockbuster Run Babby Run in 2012 and the expectations around this film is sky high especially with Suresh Nair doing the screenplay. D-Day was the last Bollywood film that Suresh scripted and it fetched great reviews for being an unconventional spy thriller. The project has taken time to start due to heavy budget and also the pending commitments of Mohanlal. The actor was busy with multiple flicks Mr.Fraud and Koothara. He is currently shooting for flick Peruchazhi which is an Onam release this year. There isn’t any confirmation on when the project shall kick-off but probably it might go on the floors towards the end of the year. Manju Warrier’s addition to the film shall be another positive buzz for the flick as the Mohanlal-Manju pairing has always had a special place in the mind of audiences. Manju is on cloud nine after the overwhelming success of How Old Are You and is listening to many scripts these days but rest assured that she won’t commit any project in haste.
