Bangalore Days Follows Drishyam!

bangalore-days-follows-drishyamAfter the record breaker Drishyam, it is the turn of the youthful entertainer Bangalore Days which is all set to be remade in Telugu. The Telugu version has Naga Chaitanya, Arya and Siddharth in the main roles. The remake rights of Bangalore Days had become red hot in the market after its overwhelming success. PVP Cinema had acquired the remake rights for a whopping amount too. The female casting for the flick is yet to be decided and it shall be interesting to see who shall reprise the roles of Nazriya, Parvathi and Nithya Menen in the flick. An official announcement on the project shall come soon with the full details of the cast and crew.

Bangalore Days had the big youth stars of Malayalam in Dulquer Salmaan, Fahadh Faasil and Nivin Pauly sharing screen space for the first time that gave it a record-breaking initial collection at the box office upon release. Anjali Menon’s quality in direction and scripting reflected as the film marched on to become one of the biggest hits of Malayalam Cinema. Apart from the multi-starrer effect, the proper mixing of entertainment quotients like sentiments, romance and loads of clean comedy worked in its favour with the performances from the lead cast being the icing on the cake. The film is still solid after nearing 75 days in theatres and it is doing well not only in Kerala but also in Rest of India as well as overseas with the positive response pouring in from wherever it has been screened. Will the Telugu version be able to replicate the success of Bangalore Days ? We shall have to find out.
